| | 8 / 11 8. Make regular exercise a habit
To stick with an exercise program, you have to make it fun. Choosing a routine that syncs best with your temperament ups the likelihood that you'll enjoy it, according to a University of Florida study:
- If you're extroverted, you're apt to enjoy high-intensity group-exercises, preferably with music, so check out an aerobic or spin class.
- If you are highly-stressed, you may prefer indoor solo activity -- sweating it out on your home treadmill or bike trainer might be a good choice.
- If routine bores you, try exercising outdoors or sign up for a dance class, in which you frequently have to learn new moves.
- If you are goal-oriented, you may prefer regularly scheduled high-intensity workout sessions, such as a jump rope class.
