| | 7 / 9 Try healthier dairy
Women need 1,200mg of calcium everyday, so it's important to ensure you get enough through your diet. Try dairy that are labeled "low-fat" or "reduced fat" instead of their regular counterparts.
"One percent and fat-free milk have all the calcium and nutrients that whole milk has," Dorothy Ziegler, R.D., author of The Best Darn Book About Nutrition and Health. "They just have fewer saturated fat grams and calories."
Other smart dairy choices: Fat-free flavored yogurt, low-fat cheeses and trans-fat free margarine.
