Incision Options
Breast implants can be inserted in several ways - common incision sites include inframammary fold (the crease below the breast), periareolar (around the nipple) and transaxillary (through the armpit). Where the incision is made depends on the placement of the implants.
Placement Options
- Subglandular Breast Implant Placement: With this placement, the implant is placed over the top of the muscle, but behind the breast tissue.
- Complete Submuscular Breast Implant Placement: Implant is placed under the both the muscle and breast tissue.
