Sexually transmitted diseases (STDs) like chlamydia can affect your fertility and as they don't always have symptoms, you might not even know that you've picked one up. If it's left untreated, chlamydia can develop into pelvic inflammatory disease and lead to infertility. A simple urine test can detect chlamydia.
Fertility tip: Take responsibility of your sexual health -- always practice safe sex and use a condom to protect against STDs. In addition, see your doctor for an annual Pap smear. which can detect all types of infections, including HPV, syphilis, gonorrhea and herpes. If you're positive for an STD, seek treatment immediately.
