| | 4 / 8 Is exercise safe?
Exercise is beneficial for both of you. The American College of Obstetricians and Gynecologists recommends that pregnant women without any medical issues get at least 30 minutes of moderate exercise on most, if not all, days of the week.
But as the baby grows, pressure on the pelvic floor increases -- so avoid high-impact exercises, jumping and jogging. Stick to low-impact workouts such as walking, swimming or yoga and avoid sports where you might be thrown off-balance like cycling and waterskiing.
