What
Aesthetic procedures that involve surgery, such as eyelid surgery, rhinoplasty and breast augmentation.
After care
To help you cope with any discomfort after the surgery , your surgeon will prescribe pain killers.
"For all types of surgery, wound infection is a potential risk," says John M. Finley, M.D., plastic surgeon and author of Considering Plastic Surgery? To reduce the risk of post-op infection, make sure you complete the course of antibiotics your surgeon has prescribed you and keep the incision site clean and dry for the first 72 hours.
Change your dressing every 1 to 2 days, or as directed. Inform your surgron immediately if you notice any redness, weeping or "popped" stitches.
