Skincare tips that'll get your skin closer to perfection.
Skincare
A good skincare regime doesn't have to be complicated or costly. By knowing what's essential (and what's frivolous), you can keep it simple and just as effective.
Moisturize your skin, especially if you're holed up inside an air-conditioned workplace everyday. Air-conditioning strips your skin of moisture quickly, so keep your skin hydrated with a moisturizer and prevent chapped lips with a lip balm.
Rejuvenate your skin with a weekly treatment. Choose an exfoliant and face mask that suits your skin needs. For example, if your skin tends to be dehydrated, look for an emollient scrub and moisturizing mask; if you have oily skin, choose an effective exfoliant and purifying mask to help remove the excess sebum.
Use sun protection. With so many sunscreen products on the shelves today, there's absolutely no excuse for sun-damaged skin. Protect yourself from the sun's harmful UV rays using a sunscreen with at least SPF 15.
Listen to your skin. Our skin is a living organ, and like all living things, its needs can change over time. When we age, when we relocate to a place with a different climate, or even when we have a change of working environment, our skin condition can change in response to several factors, so it's essential to review your skincare products – when your usual products aren't working as well as they used to, it's time to start shopping for new ones.
Don't neglect your elbows, heels, neck and decolletage. Many of us don't pay enough attention to these areas, but they're prone to dryness and need moisturizing.
