What is Botox?
- Botox is produced from a strain of bacteria called “Clostridium Botulinum”. It is purified and injected in cosmetic doses to smooth the forehead, frown lines (glabellar lines), crows-feet, and can also provide a slight mouth corner lift.
Who Shouldn’t Consider Botox?
- Nursing mothers, pregnant women, and people with “myasthenia gravis or other neuromuscular diseases.”
Does Botox Work Right Away?
- Results are seen within 7 days of the injection, though most see results immediately.
How Long Does Botox Last?
- Generally about 3 months, some up to 9 months.
