| | 4 / 6 4. You'll have more sex
Up to 30 percent of obese people in a Duke University study reported problems with sex drive, desire, performance, or all three. The researchers found that the more body fat you have, the higher your levels of a natural chemical known as SHBG (sex hormone binding globulin) which binds to the sex hormone testosterone, making it less available to stimulate desire.
The good news: Losing as few as 10 pounds can often free up testosterone and almost immediately give a boost to your love life. Plus, simply changing your diet to a low-fat, high-fiber one can get your blood sugar and cholesterol under control and help turn your sex drive around -- even if you don't lose weight.
