Although nuts contain fat, this is actually not saturated fat so they're healthier than you might assume. They are also rich in vitamin E, which is an antioxidant. The American Journal of Clinical Nutrition conducted a study of almost 35,000 women and found that those who ate vitamin E rich foods such as nuts had decreased chances of having a stroke. Stock up on almonds, pecans and walnuts.
