Because bacteria will begin to multiply each time the food is thawed, avoid thawing and re-freezing raw food, especially meat products.
Give hot liquids time to cool at room temperature before refrigeration. Placing large pots of hot soups straight into the refrigerator will raise the overall temperature inside the fridge compartment, making the other stored food prone to microorganism growth and food spoilage.
