You can't go wrong with a salad, right? Actually, you can -- if you're not careful with the dressing! "A typical plate of salad, filled with mayonnaise-based salads and creamy dressing is swimming in fat and sodium," says Dr. Brill. "This can weigh in at a full day's worth of calories, fat and salt!" Be careful with pre-prepared salads when eating out -- many popular restaurants have salads on their menus that can add up to more calories and fat than a bacon cheeseburger, warns Dudash. Save the fat and calories by requesting for the dressings and toppings to be served on the side.
