| | 3 / 6 Laser resurfacing
What
Laser resurfacing technique directs short, concentrated light beams to vaporize superficial, damaged skin cells and help improve various skin issues -- from uneven skin tone, sun damage, fine lines to acne scars.
After care
Laser treatment leaves the skin tender and sore for a few days, and vulnerable to UV damage. "While your skin recovers, avoid direct sunlight and wear a strong sunscreen," advises Marsha Gordon, M.D., a New York-based dermatologist.
In addition, your doctor may advise you against wearing makeup or applying chemical-based skincare products for a few days.
